Facilitation Starter Pack 1.0

All you need to know about our latest project!

Learn. Practice. Create.

Have you ever participated in a youth exchange, training course, workshop or community event and thought:

"I'd love to create something like this myself."

Facilitation Starter Pack 1.0 is a learning journey for young people who want to move beyond participation and start creating learning experiences for others.

Over a journey of four months, you will explore the foundations of facilitation, experiment with different methods and approaches, receive mentoring from experienced facilitators, and develop your own educational initiative for your local community.

Whether you want to organize activities in your school, youth centre, organisation or neighbourhood, this programme is designed to help you take your first steps from participant to facilitator.

What makes this programme different?

We believe facilitation is not learned by reading about it. It is learned by doing.
This edition will be Free of Charge.
That's why this programme is built around three key elements:

Learn

Discover the foundations of facilitation and non-formal learning.

You will explore topics such as:

  • Group dynamics

  • Activity design

  • Feedback and reflection

  • Debriefing

  • Learning processes

  • Visual facilitation

  • Creating engaging learning environments

Practice

Develop your skills through experimentation, peer learning and mentoring.

You will:

  • Facilitate small activities

  • Receive feedback

  • Reflect on your learning process

  • Learn from experienced facilitators and fellow participants

Create

Transform your ideas into action.

As part of the programme, you will design and implement your own workshop, activity or learning initiative in your local community.

Our goal is to help you understand facilitation and support you in creating meaningful learning opportunities for others

Programme Structure

The programme will run from October 2026 until January/February 2027.

It will include:

  • Online learning and reflection

  • Access to learning resources

  • Individual mentoring

  • Residential learning activities

  • Practical implementation of a local initiative

Participants should expect approximately 2 hours of online engagement per week, alongside the residential activities and practical assignments.

Who is it for?

We are looking for young people who:

  • Are between 18 and 30 years old

  • Live in Lithuania

  • Can communicate in English

  • Are curious about facilitation and learning

  • Want to create activities and opportunities in their communities

  • Are ready to take initiative and commit to a longer learning journey

Exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Why are we doing this?

Too often, young people participate in inspiring projects but never receive the support needed to create something themselves.

We want to change that.

Through Facilitation Starter Pack 1.0, we aim to support a new generation of facilitators, organisers and community builders who are ready to create learning opportunities where they live.
