Social BBQ

Good food, good company, and a summer afternoon by the river: sometimes that’s all it takes to bring people together. On 2 August 2026, we hosted our Social BBQ at Žirmūnų paplūdimys, right next to the Neris River.

The idea was simple. We wanted to create a relaxed space where locals and foreigners could meet, share a meal, and get to know each other a little better. Around the grill and the picnic tables, conversations jumped between languages, hometowns, favourite foods, and travel stories. Table games quickly broke the ice, turning strangers into teammates (and friendly rivals) within minutes.

Behind the fun was something we care about deeply. We believe in a community where nationality and background are a source of curiosity, not judgment. Every person who joined brought their own story, and that’s exactly what made the afternoon so special. When people sit down together, ask questions, and listen, differences stop being walls and start becoming bridges.

As the afternoon slowly turned into evening, new friendships had been made, phone numbers exchanged, and plans for future meetups already in the air.
